My daughter and I have attended the "Ladies for Life" mother/daughter tea each year since it was started 4 years ago. She looks forward to the special attention she gets attending this event without her brother. Some years grandma even joins us. We dress up and enjoy some time together while visiting with friends, tasting various teas, mini sandwiches, and scrumptious little treats. The tables are competitively and creatively decorated. Most importantly though is the message about God's plan for life. It opens the door to deeper discussion between us on values,virtues and living in the way of love.
I have been blessed to be asked to photograph mothers with their daughters each year to help raise money during the event.
Freelance writer, Kim Seidel of Seidel Inc. who is a correspondent for the Catholic Times has also attended the event each of the 4 years.
