Mini Albums

One of my favorite products I sell is the mini album.
It is a great way to get alot of images in a cute little magnetic closing package.  It even comes with a protective cover for your purse!
Here is one I just made for one of my SpokesMamas.

They fold out accordian style. When closed they hold themselves shut magnetically.

Cocoa Bundle

Congrats to this family on their addition to the family and thanks for having me back.
He is just 2 weeks old.

More to come!!!

Early Fall with Toddler "A"

It was good to get back in touch with the mom of these kids.  Our husbands used to work together before a job change. This day was one of the last warm Fall days.  Pumpkins were aplenty laying in the yard- just picked from Grandpas and the wild flowers in the field had almost all faded away. During the shoot we spotted a bright green frog."A's" brother and I had fun with him but "A" wast startled by him jumping toward her.  That was enough of him she meant with her shriek. If there's going to be any mischief she is going to be the one instigating it.

Little "M" is 1

Another great Fall day for a 1 year old / Family photo session. This was the 4th of 4 sessions with
little "M".  It has been a pleasure to see her grow.  She gives me such great smiles right away!
I played around with some old painted frames on loan from a friend.  The image of her with her Daddy especially touches me.
We all know about a mothers love and bond with their kids but I have recently read Meg Meeker's  STRONG FATHERS STRONG DAUGHTERS.
http://www.megmeekermd.com/books/
It talks how much influence Dads have in their daughters lives. A close paternal bond is more valuable than you could ever know.

Childrens Fall Vintage Session

This was a perfect Fall Saturday.  The trees were at peak color, apples were ripe, the weather was warm and the sun was shining with a nice cloud cover here and there.  My long time friend and I got together in Rochester for me to photograph her young children.  We drove North to another friends house who had some land and a great swinging bench hanging from a tree.  We had quite a few great vintage props and so many cute areas that I just couldn't stop photographing!

From the mouth of my 5 1/2  year old.  "It stinks over here, it smells like mittendew"

and another an hour later.  ME: Did you like the new cereal?? HIM:  "Yeah, it was good, but it kind of tasted awful."

Sick of Winter yet??
Much of the country has plenty of snow and it's not going away any time soon.  Here's a way to keep our sanity a bit longer until we can see a glimmer of hope in budding branches.

If you're given snow...MAKE SNOW ICE CREAM!
For best results, the snow should be fresh and fluffy (and of course not yellow or brown or..you get the point)
The flavoring can be, honey, chocolate syrup, vanilla or the syrups we use in coffee.
This a recipe and brief ice cream history from Michael Lane at Fort Wilderness, McNaughton WI.
